Lucky Block to sponsor Dillian Whyte for heavyweight title fight against Tyson Fury

Crypto sports game platform Lucky Block is sponsoring boxer Dillian Whyte for his blockbuster heavyweight title fight against Tyson Fury this Saturday.

Projected to host upwards of 90,000 in attendance at Wembley Stadium, Lucky Block will gain major exposure from the millions also watching at home in what is one of Britain’s biggest boxing fights of all time.

The crypto platform signed the heavyweight boxer to be one of the company’s ambassadors for an undisclosed amount. This latest signing is one of many partnership deals Lucky Block has sealed with various other boxers as it continues to grow its presence in the sporting landscape.

Whyte commented on the sponsorship deal, stating: “When Lucky Block first approached me with a sponsorship deal I didn’t know who they were or what they did. I was excited to learn about their business and the new, transparent and fair approach that they bring to prize draws and giveaway competitions using crypto.

“It opens up a chance for me to use my fighting talents to introduce boxing fans to crypto and the benefits it has to offer. Hopefully this tie up will also lead some of the crypto community to start paying attention to boxing too.”

Lucky Block’s ‘LBLOCK’ token started trading on the market at the end of January, reaching $1 billion in ‘crypto unicorn’ valuation. The blockchain based platform allows users to engage in a multitude of online games and lottery apps through the use of crypto tokens and NFTs.

The firm has recently ventured into sports sponsorship, in particular boxing, signing boxers such as Whyte and welterweight contender Florian Marku. Lucky Block is also expected to announce more boxers in May that will join its roster, on top of the six others who have already signed.

“It was an opportunity to put the Lucky Block games platform on the map in a huge way as we ready for the launch of our prize draws and ramp up our NFT sales,” said Lucky Block CEO, Scott Ryder.

“We hope to educate Dillian’s fan base, other boxing fans and the many millions beyond the fight scene, about the benefits of crypto.

“Naturally, we will be in Dillian’s corner on Saturday. But we will also be his biggest fan for years ahead, as our boxing champion grows his brand power and Lucky Block grows its revolutionary crypto giveaway draws, competitions and games platform.”
