Mo’ Money Mo’ Payments: Ivo do Amaral de Almeida,

Whether you’re trying to become the next Jay-Z, the next Katy Perry or you just pop the radio and singalong, music is undeniably a vital aspect to society – as are payments.

So we here at Payment Expert decided to reach out to industry figures to see what music means to them and hopefully help everyone “learn to treat life to the best, put stress to rest.”

This week Ivo do Amaral de Almeida (senior sales manager, curves the karaoke question – much to the heartbreak of anybody hoping to see him perform at the next Payment Expert Forum!

PE: You’re entering a packed arena, what song blasts out?

IAA: I’m in love with this band so I would be incredibly pumped.

Plus, aside from the arena scenario, the music video consists of a guy walking in a street while having several different thoughts about his life, something that really resonated with me from the first time I saw.

PE: What one song gets you in the mood for a boogie?

IAA: The explosiveness of this song springs even a 90 year old man into dance! For myself it reminds me of my teenage years and partying ‘til late with friends.

PE: What song would you consider a guilty pleasure?

IAA: “This is what you’ll get when you mess with us!”

I love sometimes to listen to the more somber Radiohead songs, the band are incredible and can create authentic music masterpieces!

PE: What typifies your lazy Sunday?

IAA: This song really relaxes me. I guess the lyrics, mixed with the harmony of the melody, almost gives me the feeling to fly, almost lost in my mind!

PE: What song reminds you of your childhood?

IAA: The start of the 90s had some incredible bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam and REM, BLur and Oasis, The Cure. Pains me to think about how long ago it was!

PE: And finally, what’s your go to karaoke song?  Don’t worry… we won’t be asking for a recording!

IAA: In short – I don’t do karaoke’s. Nobody should go through the pain of hearing me try hit any musical notes!
