Manchester City and its official cryptocurrency partner OKX have collaborated once more on a special edition shirt.

As part of the ‘Unseen City Shirts’ campaign, the second shirt design is titled ‘Blue Moon’ and is a digital collectible that can be minted for fans of the Premier League club to collect and win prizes.

The ‘Blue Moon’ shirt was designed by artist Charli Cohen and is a nod to the famous club anthem that is played before and sung by fans at the Etihad Stadium. The shirt design illustrates a lunar cycle with OKX branding attached.

Fans will be able to find the limited edition shirt on the OKX Web3 marketplace app from 29 April – 2 May. This follows on from the first limited edition shirt release, titled ‘The Roses and the Bees’, a homage to the working ethics of Manchester and its people.

Each collectible minted will randomly be assigned a rarity level – Classic, Rare or Ultra Rare, providing fans with a chance to win exclusive prizes.

Depending on the rarity of the digital collectible, fans have the chance to win exclusive prizes, including a limited-edition physical version of the specially designed football shirt and tickets to Manchester City matches.

OKX Chief Marketing Officer, Haider Rafique, spoke on the release of the campaign last week: “As an official partner of Manchester City since 2022, we want to capture the imagination and incite the passions of the club’s global fans, many of whom are curious about the value that Web3 can bring to their lives.

“The ‘Unseen City Shirts’ campaign allows us to engage them in an authentic way that is true to OKX’s values, taking something familiar and reimagining it with the help of creativity, technology and innovation.”
